I’m mainly interested in the landscape and the abstract and graphic images that can be found within it. I take a lot of inspiration from the urban landscape and architecture.

My training as an Industrial Designer has helped me appreciate the strong lines and patterns which can often be found in man made structures, as well as the more subtle features of nature.

In my abstract images I'm looking for balance, dynamics and relationships that have been created almost accidentally. Paint daubed on a wall, road markings, the structures of derelict buildings.

I'm an active contributor to a couple of image libraries, Arcangel Images and Alamy, and am available for commisions.

Fine Art
(Contains 52 photos)
Many of these images feature dead flowers and seed heads. Not the usual pretty pictures, but I find the textures and muted colours interesting. I've added even more texture by blending photos of rust with the flowers to give a painterly feel.
Abstract
(Contains 37 photos)
These images are about colour and pattern. I'm trying to create abstract images in the viewfinder as I take the picture. Once I've spotted a subject I usually try to create a series of images which can be viewed as a set.
Architecture
(Contains 36 photos)
Many of these architecture shots could also be described as abstracts, but because of the subject matter they're more geometric.
Dereliction
(Contains 36 photos)
This type of image overlaps somewhat with my abstracts, although here the main theme is the slow deterioration shown by the textures of rust and peeling paint.
3 Commercial
(Contains 16 photos)
My commercial work consists mainly of outdoor shoots for local companies.
